Who Owns Dodge and RAM?

2020 Ram 1500

Both Dodge and RAM vehicles are renowned for their performance capabilities in off-road, industrial, and city environments. Vehicles like the RAM 1500 are especially popular with our Clarksville customer because of the RAM’s prowess and capabilities. But when many of our customers visit our Madison dealer, they ask, who owns RAM?

Dodge RAM are two entities that believe in giving its drivers the best driving experience possible, and at Music City Autoplex we’re proud to sell them to you. Many fanatics of Dodge RAM always ask who owns RAM, and if you’re one of them, we’d be glad to help you out. Contact or visit our Franklin-area dealer if you have any questions about our inventory of used trucks. Also, reach out to our finance center to discover deals and specials that help you drive home in a new RAM 1500!

Who Owns RAM?

The parent company of Dodge, Chrysler, decided to make RAM its own company solely for pick trucks and heavy-duty vehicles in 2009. Here’s where the Dodge RAM brands split. Where once you could buy a Dodge RAM truck, now it’s just RAM trucks. Like the RAM 1500!

Why Did Dodge RAM Split?

Now that you know who owns RAM, you may be wondering why both brands split from each other. This happened so the Dodge company can focus on creating more suburban vehicles that can rival competing vehicle brands.
